Setting up mobile sites all over New Zealand
We worked with Telecom to set up mobile sites across the country, from the initial stages through to final site inspections.
WSP Opus has a long running relationship with Telecom NZ to provide assistance with setting up mobile sites all over New Zealand. We were there to help with the initial introduction of the TDMA network in the 1990s, through the introduction of CDMA, EVDO and currently the construction of a GSM / UMTS network that has required the creation of 1000 sites.
There’s a lot that goes into establishing mobile sites, from site scoping and selection right through to arranging legal surveys, liaising with local councils on consent issues, designing and preparing plans and specs for civil engineering work.
There is also consultation with resource management consultants, landowners, service providers and building contractors. We provided project management and oversight right through to final site inspections.
