WSP Opus is Transpower’s national facilities management provider
Since 1995 we have supported Transpower with maintenance management for a range of premises, substations, warehouses and field services.
WSP Opus is the national facilities management provider for Transpower New Zealand. We first won the contract in 1995 and it has been successfully re-tendered three times and rolled over year by year within each contract term.
Work includes maintenance management of 200 premises including 175 high voltage substations, the National Coordination Centre, three regional operating centres, three field services offices, two warehouses, and 16 emergency accommodation premises.
We are responsible for the management of scheduled routine, planned preventative, and defect maintenance on all buildings, grounds, boundary and security fencing, access roads, and portable fire fighting equipment.
At a number of sites we are also responsible for cleaning, fire alarm and protection systems, back-up generator and UPS systems, HVAC systems, electrical services and security systems. Asset management support, regular condition assessments and preparation of forward work plans for the assets above are also provided.
All maintenance management services are delivered through a network of regional WSP Opus representatives, together with a network of over 25 contracted providers and numerous as-required providers. Works are managed using proprietary web enabled database and work management software, and are fully supported by a 24 hour 7 day per week basis call centre facility.
